6/29: EMERGENCY PROTES: TELL THE US TO SUPPORT THE RETURN OF HONDURAN PRESIDENT
WHERE: FEDERAL BUILDING, corner of 4th St & 4th Ave in Downtown Minneapolis
was kidnapped and taken to Costa Rica early this morning in a Military
Coup by the rightist opposition. The people of Honduras have risen up
in protest to demand the return of their president. US President Obama,
along with the Organization of American States, has denied any
participation by the US in the Coup, and has refused to recognize the
legitimacy of self-sworn “president” Michelette.
to reject the legitimacy of the government put in place by the coup,
and to demand that Obama take a stronger stance in demanding the return
of democratically- elected President Zelaya.
