Civil Litigation for Day 4 Arrestees

Civil Litigation Lawsuit:

Were you arrested on Day 4 of the RNC?  Want to be involved in a class action lawsuit?  Please contact the legal team working on the case.  They need interviews with arrestees to move the case forward.  They are particularly trying to do interviews on Wednesdays from 3:30 – 7pm and Friday from noon to 4pm in downtown Minneapolis, but can schedule other times as needed and do phone interviews for out-of-towners.

Defend The RNC8! Town Hall Meeting

In what appears to be the first use of criminal charges under the 2002 Minnesota Patriot Act, Ramsey County Attorney Susan Gaertner has charged 8 anti-RNC organizers with four Felony Conspiracy charges, including Conspiracy to Riot in Furtherance of Terrorism. The potential consequences of these charges are enormous. Not only could we lose 8 of our friends and allies to prison, it also creates a dangerous precedent for the suppression of dissent.
