Bannering: Now War with Iran! End the Sanctions Now!

This bannering is happening as a part of the United National Anti-war Coalition’s call for action for Feb 18-21.In its first weeks in power, the Biden administration is already hurtling towards a potential war scenario with Iran. Trump’s many illegal provocations–unilaterally quitting the JCPOA nuclear deal with Iran, imposing devastating “maximum pressure” sanctions on Iran’s economy during a pandemic and a campaign of brazen assassinations–have left the two countries on a collision course. Despite Biden’s campaign promises to change course and rejoin the JCPOA, recent statements from administration officials indicate plans to continue Trump’s deadly game of chicken. All while US military forces continue to build up in the Persian Gulf.The United National Antiwar Coalition (UNAC)’s youth committee, Youth Against Empire, are calling for all anti-war, international solidarity and peace groups to join us for Days of Action to demand: No War With Iran! End The Sanctions NOW! They encourage participating groups to organize bannerings, rallies, forums, etc. between February 18-21.
