Urgent Fundraiser for Victims in Gaza

The
Minnesota Gaza Coalition is holding a fundraiser for Gaza victims. All
funds will be collected by Islamic Relief USA, which already has a
relief operation on the ground in Gaza. The AWC endorses this
fundraiser.
Press Conference & Rally for Peace in Gaza
On Friday, January 2, American Muslims and other people of conscience
will gather outside the Islamic Cultural Community Center for a
demonstration for Gaza. Participants will call on public officials to
help stop Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, restore the cease-fire and
promote peace with justice in the Middle East during the coming year.
There will be a pres conference at 2pm and a rally at 3pm.

Update from the protests against the massacre in Gaza 12/30/08
After a successful rally and press conference denouncing Israel’s attacks on the people of Gaza, protesters demanded to meet with Sen. Klobuchar and called for an end to U.S. military aid to Israel. Over 40 protesters are now occupying a conference room in her office, and after an hour, she has agreed to meet with them.
