The Nakba (meaning ‘catastrophe’) refers to the period in time starting in 1947 when the illegal settler nation of Israel forcefully expelled between 750,000- 1 million Palestinians from their home (approx. 75% of the population at the time). During the following months, the Israeli military and settlers alike rampaged through Palestine, destroying over 400 towns and cities. They destroyed houses, apartments, hospitals, places of worship, historical sites, and more.
The Nakba may have started in 1947, but it is still ongoing today. Palestinians have faced settler and state violence for over 78 years, and now Trump wants to further the Nakba. Trump’s plans for Gaza and for Palestine must be stopped. Join us to stand against Trump, and to stand with Palestinians and all oppressed people in solidarity.
