Israel is the largest recipient of U.S. foreign aid in the world. The U.S. gave $3.8 billion in aid to Israel in 2020, most of it in military assistance. Our taxpayer dollars are being spent to kill, terrorize, imprison, and threaten Palestinians.

Israel’s May offensive in Gaza killed at least 260 Palestinians, including 66 children, and caused widespread damage to infrastructure and residential areas. The UN estimates the offensive’s cost to the Gaza Strip to be $290-380 million dollars and that 62% of the population is food-insecure. Gaza is referred to as “the world’s largest open air prison” because Palestinians are trapped without access to jobs, clean water, and medical supplies. We need to demand an end to the blockade of Gaza!
Similarly, in May Israeli settlers and the Israeli government increased their efforts in the West Bank to create new settlements and to push Palestinians out of their homes in a new wave of ethnic cleansing. Israel has a long history of using force, home demolitions and Israeli law to push Palestinians off their lands and out of their homes to establish settlements, which the UN has declared violate international law. Palestinians are resisting ethnic cleansing and need our solidarity!
