Ride with the Anti-War Committee & TCC4J to go to Chicago and join organizers across the country to protest the Democratic National Convention. The protest is on Monday, August 19th. For more info on the protest go to https://www.marchondnc2024.org/.
Deadline to secure a seat: July 17th
This will be a one-day trip! We will not be spending the night in Chicago. The plan is to leave late Sunday evening, arrive in Chicago for the protest, and head back to the Twin Cities on Monday evening. The itinerary is still being confirmed.
Demands:
The main protest demand is: Stand with Palestine! End U.S. Aid to Israel
We will also be bringing together the demands of the people’s movements to the door of the Democratic party:
- Money for Jobs, School, Healthcare, Housing, and Environment, Not for War!
- Immigrant Rights and Legalization for All!
- Defend LGBTQIA+ & Reproductive Rights!
- Defend the right to unionize and strike!
- Stop police crimes! Community control of the police now!
- Justice, Peace, and Equality!

The protest will start and end at Union Park in Chicago. We think the protest will start at 10:30 am.
Please bring snacks for the bus and money for food. Please also bring a water bottle for the march and anything else that you might need to be comfortable for a long day. Dress for the weather!
The bus will stop for Muslim prayer times on the way to and from.
