Why a caravan?
For 60 years (the anniversary was February 3), Cuba has endured the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by the U.S. government. Every year this blockade is rejected by a near unanimous vote in the United Nations.
During Trump’s term, he imposed more than 220 measures to further harm the island’s economy and the Cuban people. President Biden has continued these repressive policies against Cuba and added even more sanctions. The blockade has caused great economic hardship in Cuba, blocks food imports to Cuba, and damages Cuba’s health care.
Demand the U.S. government lift all its economic and political sanctions and end the blockade against Cuba.
Tell Biden and Congress:
-No Delay, Lift the U.S. blockade NOW!
-U.S. stop sanctioning Cuban families!
-End all travel bans on Cuba!
