Join us to demand that the SBI divest MN tax dollars and public pension funds currently invested in Israel and corporations profiting from the occupation of Palestine!
On February 27, the Minnesota State Board of Investment (SBI) abruptly postponed its quarterly meeting, which had been scheduled for March 5. The postponement was posted to the SBI’s website with no explanation and no new date provided.
The Anti-War Committee condemns the SBI’s attempts at political repression, which, beyond last-minute rescheduling of meetings, have also included last-minute changes in meeting format that disallowed community members from addressing the board or giving spoken testimony.
The SBI has rescheduled for Friday, March 21, at 9:00 a.m., and claims public testimony will be allowed. The Anti-War Committee strongly encourages all who can make it to show up, pack the room, and join us for a rally and press conference afterward, to send a strong message to the SBI: we will not stand idly by while our tax dollars, and the hard-won pensions of our unions, are allowed to be invested in genocide and apartheid.
