Rally for Entrapped Somali Youth

The eyes of the nation are on the trial of the 3 Somali youth facing life sentences on “terrorism” charges. In this dangerous political time of xenophobia, racism and anti-islam hatred espoused by extremists and even political candidates, the youths’ chances for a fair trial are greatly diminished. The media is contributing to this climate by sensationalizing their reports constantly referring to the ISIL trial. It is important the public understands these youth were entrapped by the FBI in an effort to justify to us they are “making us safer.” Community members and the antiwar movement stands with the families and the community to oppose, political repression and FBI targeting of the Muslim community. An injury to one is an injury to all.
