This is a critical time in Colombia. The peace process between the Colombian government and the FARC (the largest rebel group) is going well and there is potentially an end in sight to the 50+ year civil war. Anti-War Committee member Jennie Eisert is going to Colombia this summer on a delegation with the Alliance for Global Justice to meet with movement leaders to hear about the affects of US military intervention in their country and about what the peace process means to them. Jennie hasn’t been back to Colombia since she was a baby and we’re very excited that she gets to return at such a historic time.
