Solidarity Forever: From Minneapolis to Venezuela
Wednesday, March 22nd @ 7pm @ 4200 Cedar Ave S, Minneapolis
Venezuela has been under US attack for decades. The country has been subjected to crippling US sanctions that have deprived Venezuelans of food and economic stability. The US has even outrageously kidnapped Venezuelan diplomat Alex Saab in Cape Verde. He is now held in a Miami jail for the “crime” of importing food past the US blockade. On top of all that, the US has attempted to overthrow the Venezuelan government six times in just the past two decades.
US media is complicit in covering up these heinous violations of international law. Two Anti-War Committee members are returning from the Alliance for Global Justice’s Venezuela delegation to do the reporting that the US media refuses to do. Join us on March 22, 7pm, at 4200 Cedar Avenue in Minneapolis for a report-back event and Q&A session, where our members will discuss their firsthand experience seeing the impact of US sanctions on Venezuela’s struggle for liberation.
