Thursday, January 14th from  7 – 8:30 PM Central Standard Time online
Join the MN Anti-War Committee on Thursday, January 14th to review the History of the war against Palestinians and discuss “The Hundred Years’ War on Palestine” by Rashid Khalidi. We encourage you to purchase your copy at Mayday Books, where you’ll get a 15% discount (consider calling Mayday ahead to check if their storefront is open, usually the afternoon is better 1pm-5pm: (612) 333-4719).
For 22 years the Anti-War Committee has stood with the Free Palestine Movement here in the twin cities, calling for the right of return for Palestinian refugees to their national homeland, Palestine, the immediate lifting of US sanctions on Lebanon, and the end of US aid to Israel.  Rashid Ismail Khalidi (Arabic: رشيد خالدي‎; born 1948) is a Palestinian American historian of the Middle East, the Edward Said Professor of Modern Arab Studies at Columbia University, and director of the Middle East Institute of Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs. He also is known for serving as editor of the scholarly journal Journal of Palestine Studies.  Organized by the Anti-War Committee and co-sponsored by Mayday Books.
