This list is used as a way to punish countries that the US is in conflict with. At the coffee hour we will focus on the list and its impact on Cuba. This list has damaged the people of Cuba and similarly affected other countries on the list.\nWe are pleased to have as our primary speaker David Ramírez Álvarez\, Second Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Washington\, D.C. who will speak about the impact of the list on Cubans and their economy.\nWe will also have brief talks about how the US State Sponsors of Terrorism list impacts people in other countries on the list. Today\, the former slave-holding powers of the United States and France continue to seek to control Haitian affairs\, propping up the illegitimate government of Ariel Henry amid a wave of internal violence and warfare among gangs controlled by Haitian business and political elites. \nJoin the Haiti Justice Committee to demand United States Hands off Haiti and to raise money to express our concrete solidarity with the struggle of the Haitian people.  Solidarity with Haiti! \nAn evening of light refreshments\, music and short speeches to raise money for the Haiti Emergency Relief Fund (HERF) to support a teaching hospital and medical worker training center on the grounds of the University of the Aristide Foundation in Port Au Prince.
