House Party: Fundraiser to Bail Out the AWC!

WHERE: Yorek/Sundin home, 2911 Park Ave S, Minneapolis

In September, the U.S. government spent $700 billion of our tax dollars
to bail out wealthy banks and investment firms. This is on top of the
$600 billion they’ve already spent on their wars in Iraq and
Afghanistan. It’s crucial that we continue to oppose U.S. war and
occupation abroad, while demanding money for human needs at home.

Although
we have public opinion on our side, the anti-war movement doesn’t have
anywhere near the money and resources of the U.S. military. The
Anti-War Committee is particularly low on funds right now, especially
after an intense year of organizing against the RNC. We would really
appreciate your support and participation.

You’re invited to
help “bail out” the Anti-War Committee on Saturday, December 6. We’ll
begin at 7 pm with a family-friendly hour featuring fun for the kids
including a “pennies for peace” jar. We’ll also have great food, tasty
drinks of both the non-alcoholic and spirited variety, music and lively
conversation. Cash bar + donations requested (no one turned away).

Your
donations will allow us to continue organizing protests, making signs,
flyers, buttons, and other materials. We’ll also be collecting items
for the Waite House food shelf so please bring something to share. See
