Sami Rasouli: Eyewitness Report from Iraq

Sami Rasouli is an Iraqi-American who lived in Minnesota for many years before returning to Iraq after the U.S. invasion and occupation. Sami works in Iraq with the Muslim Peacemaker Teams (MPT). He will give an update on conditions in Iraq today and the nature of the ongoing U.S. military role in Iraq, despite the so-called “end of combat” operations.

Joining the discussion will be three Iraqi women who are visiting Minnesota: Shaymaa Abdulkadhim Hasan Hasan, Fadheelah Jaafar Sadeq Al Ali, and Ekhlas Mohsin Abbas Al-Hakkak, a young woman who was injured by a U.S. bomb. They will talk about how average Iraqi families, especially the women, have suffered since the US invasion of their country.
