Take Action!

Solidarity with AFSCME 2822 – Give Frontline Workers a Respectful Deal

The Anti-War Committee stands in solidarity with our siblings in AFSCME 2822 and 34.  We encourage our supporters to call to support the union and to tell Hennepin County to give frontline workers a respectful deal.

CALL IN/EMAIL: Subject: Give frontline workers a respectful deal they can accept! (AFSCME 2822 + 34)

Our combined efforts are working! Only an hour after the unions asked, Hennepin County agreed to voluntarily come back to the bargaining table with both our AFSCME 2822 and our Sister local AFSCME 34 to continue to discuss what we need in a contract to support our work for the community!  The best thing to do to help is to keep emailing and calling and for anyone who can to come Wednesday, January 19th to pickets at locations highlighted below:

We have a new Mediation date set for Tuesday, January 18th.

Thank you everyone who has called or emailed their Commissioners!

WE MUST KEEP THE PRESSURE ON THEM! A date is not yet a deal.

We must Continue to be United with each other, and show our strength and be ready – especially if we are not able to reach an acceptable agreement.  Continue to call and email Hennepin County Commissioners & Administrator Hough and tell them to COME WITH A BETTER DEAL! And Continue to Build for the Info Picket on Jan 19th!

Continue to: FLOOD THE PHONELINES!!
