Update from the protests against the massacre in Gaza 12/30/08
After a successful rally and press conference denouncing Israel’s attacks on the people of Gaza, protesters demanded to meet with Sen. Klobuchar and called for an end to U.S. military aid to Israel. Over 40 protesters are now occupying a conference room in her office, and after an hour, she has agreed to meet with them.
Protesters ask supporters to join them: Either come to Sen. Klobuchar’s office, or call, right away, to lend your voice to the millions across the world demanding justice for Gaza. Hundreds of Palestinians have been killed in the last few days, by missiles launched from Apache helicopters and F-16 planes. This weaponry comes from the United States, which sends billions of dollars in aid to Israel every year.
Sen. Klobuchar’s office is located at 1200 Washington Ave S, Ste 250, in Minneapolis. Phone number is 612-727-5220. She can be emailed at senator_klobuchar@klobuchar.senate.gov
This is an important time to speak out. Please make sure your voice is heard!
