We need to act now to oppose U.S. military aid and their support to Saudi Forces in the endless bombing assault on Yemen. With Saudi authorities now admitting to the October 2 murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Saudi Arabia’s atrocities are finally making mainstream news. Unfortunately, we know these admissions aren’t meant to bring real accountability to the Saudi monarchy or its US political and corporate backers. Instead, the Trump regime’s fake criticism of Saudi leaders is designed to draw attention from US support for Saudi Arabia’s ongoing brutal war on Yemen. Since 2015, “the ongoing Saudi-led military campaign against Yemen has resulted in the death of 15,185 civilians, including 3,527 children and 2,277 women, according to the Legal Center for Rights and Development in Yemen.” Civilians have been facing a serious humanitarian crisis due to a Saudi blockade of food and medical aid which has led the Yemeni people to live in widespread famine. The U.S. continues to provide support and sell arms to Saudi forces who have targeted everything from markets, to schools, school busses and homes, all while refusing to denounce the inhumanity that has claimed so many civilian casualties.  Initiated by the MN Anti-War Committee.
