Saturday, March 19th – 1 pm Gather @ Mayday Plaza • Cedar Ave & 3rd Street, West Bank, Minneapolis, 1:30 Neighborhood march, which will conclude at the starting point
Thirteen years after the “shock & awe” start of the U.S. war in Iraq join together to say: No to Endless War: Iraq, Syria, Libya, Afghanistan, Stop U.S. War in Iraq & Syria, Stop the Bombing, Troops Out Now, Funds for housing & jobs, not more war, and Say No to racism & Islamophobia! Gather with signs and banners to be part of a visible anti-war presence and march through the neighborhood. March 2016 will mark 13 years since the “shock & awe” start of the 2003 U.S. war in Iraq. The U.S. is still at war today. The Obama administration has sent over 4,000 troops to Iraq and is carrying out daily bombing missions in both Iraq and Syria. The U.S. war continues in Afghanistan, and the U.S. has launched strikes in Libya. After years of U.S. bombs, troops, weapons and meddling, does anyone believe more of the same will make things better? Join the March 19 protest to send an anti-war message. Initiated by Minnesota Peace Action Coalition. For information, contact 612-827-5364 or 612-275-2720.
